Preamble
The Global Unity Alliance (“GUA”) and the International Youth Assembly (“IYA”) are
committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and impactful environment. This document
establishes the ethical standards, conduct expectations, and operational policies for all of its
members, including the Board of Trustees. By participating in GUA and IYA activities, all
individuals agree to abide by these rules and uphold the mission and integrity of the
organizations.
Article I. General Conduct
Section 1. Respect
All members, including the Board of Trustees, shall:
● Treat all people, whether part of the Global Unity Alliance, the International Youth
Assembly, or the general public, with dignity and respect, regardless of nationality,
ethnicity, religion, gender, identity, or socio-economic status.
● Maintain professionalism in all activities carried out within the Global Unity Alliance and
the International Youth Assembly.
Section 2. Anti-Harassment
● GUA and IYA maintain a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, bullying,
or any form of prejudice.
Section 3. Professionalism
● Members must act with maturity and professionalism during all events, meetings, and
public interactions when representing the organizations.
● Members must not engage in any illicit or illegal activities that could harm the reputation,
mission, or credibility of GUA or IYA.
Article II. Representation and Support
Section 1. Non-Partisanship
● The Global Unity Alliance is a strictly non-partisan organization. No member may use
GUA platforms to endorse, promote, or campaign for political candidates or parties.
● This provision does not preclude GUA or IYA from receiving support from government
officials, provided such support is directed toward advancing the mission of serving
underserved communities and does not serve any political agenda.
Section 2. Use of Name and Logo
● The names, logos, and branding of the Global Unity Alliance and the International Youth
Assembly must not be used without prior authorization from the Board of Trustees.
● Unauthorized use of organizational property for personal or commercial gain shall result
in immediate expulsion from the organization.
Section 3. Public Representation
● Only designed spokespersons or authorized officers may represent GUA and IYA in
official capacities.
● Members must not present personal statements, views, or opinions as official positions of
the Global Unity Alliance or the International Youth Assembly.
Article III. Operations and Accountability
Section 1. Financial Transparency
● GUA and IYA are committed to transparency in all financial activities, including the use
of funds and donations.
● Members handling organizational funds must maintain accurate records, report all
expenses, and comply with established financial procedures.
Section 2. Volunteer Protection
● All members are recognized as volunteers. No member shall be forced or coerced into
performing work for GUA and IYA, especially in situations involving personal, family,
academic, or other significant concerns.
● Any member may hold positions in other organizations, provided that they do not engage
in harmful or illicit activities within those organizations. Engaging in such acts will result
in automatic dismissal from Global Unity Alliance.
Section 3. Reporting Violations
● Any violation of this document should be reported confidentially to the Executive
Director.
● If the Executive Director is alleged to have violated any of these rules, a member has the
right to request a formal motion in the International Youth Assembly. Such a motion
requires approval from both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
● Disciplinary actions may include warnings, suspension, or dismissal from the
organization, depending on the severity and circumstances of the violation.
